What kind of lady should I be?

Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so shall wives submit to their husbands.

...and the wife must respect her husband.

Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives when they see the purity and reverence in your lives.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but and woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Ok, first of all let's get some definitions.

Submit - to yield oneself to the power or authority of another
Charm -a power of pleasing or attracting, as through personality or beauty

Deceptive - causing one to believe what is not true

Fleeting - to move or pass swiftly, to fade out; vanish.

First of all, I going to say this. You really need to pay attention to who your going out with because that person is possibly going to be the leader of your family. Is this boy going to make a good leader? Will he make good choices not just for him but for you too?
Also, just because it says to be submissive doesn't mean to bow at his feet and do his every will. It means to recognize that he is the leader of your family and respect that.

Leader - one that leads or guides, one who is in charge or in command of others.

Notice that the word guide is in that definition. That must mean that his job is to guide you in the right way. After reading the verses above you may be thinking "Wow, that's a lot of stuff I have to do" but think about the men. On their sholders is the weight of everything. They have to practice over and over again until it is a habit to be the 1 Timothy 3:2-4, 7 kind of man. If you think that sounds hard then think about this - a man also has to provide for his family, make sure they have clothes, food, shelter, and safety. Not only that, but he will also want to get you what ever you want. That is a lot of stuff for a man to take care of. God put man as the head of a family, so our job is to acknoledge and respect that. That means if your husband says your moving to Africa, your moving to Africa, and you should follow him without doubt or fussing about it. See how important it is to choose carefully who you go out with? Your going to want someone who doesn't move to Africa because he want's to, but because it's best for the family. Before marrying someone your going to seriously have to think if your ready for the duty of a wife, and if the man is ready to be a husband, because that's a lot of changes for both of you. Are you ready for them???
